The league is broken into two divisions, each with three captains. The top two in each division move on to a best-of-seven divisional series, which plays into a best-of-seven World Series. Each captain coaches their team for 20 regular season games.
In the Saukie Division, the Hitters were off to a blistering 5-0 start, and despite cooling down a bit, still own a three game lead over the defending World Series Champion Katanas (Kyle Kent). Mason Overmire's Heavy Hitters are 10-5 and have already secured a playoff spot. The Katanas are 7-8 with the Dilly Diggs (Branden Bollman) hanging by a thread at 3-11. The Dilly Diggs started 0-8 and have split their last six contests.
The fuse on the Blackhawk Division may stay lit until the final weekend. Alex Miller's Cannons are atop the standings at 9-6. Just a half game back are Josh Paul's Goonies (9-7). Finally, rookie captain Bailey Rericha has made a strong 2024 captain debut with his Daddy Hacks just two games out of first place at 7-8.
Playoffs are slated to begin August 3rd with divisional rounds.
