Debut: 2023 Team: Schuby Doos (2025 - 2026) Managerial Record: 18-13 (.581) Managerial Seasons: 2 About Andrew: Originally from Freeport, Illinois—home of the Freeport Pretzels, once listed in the Guinness World Records as the only high school named after a snack food—I have played baseball my entire life. After high school, I played four years at the D3 collegiate level, serving as both a center fielder and pitcher. During my college career, I earned Team Rookie of the Year honors in 2005, a Gold Glove in 2006, and was named Team MVP in both 2007 and 2008. In 2007, I also earned All‑Conference honors, posting a 3.25 ERA over 61.0 innings pitched with three complete games, including an 11‑inning complete game. Outside of baseball, I enjoy golfing just about every day I’m not playing ball or working on a woodworking project. I love being part of the Veto League, where I’m able to continue to appease my competitive nature—although now a good game is one where my arm doesn’t hurt afterward. Even so, if I have to suffer a few bumps and bruises, there’s no better group of guys to do it with than those I play alongside in the Veto League. Being able to pick up a baseball again after fifteen years away and get back out on the field with this group has been an amazing experience. |

Debut: 2017 Team: Heavy Hitters (2019 - 2026) Managerial Record: 112-73 (.605) Magagerial Seasons: 8 World Series Titles: 5 (2019, 2020, 2022, 2024, 2025) About Mason: From Rock Island, Coach Overmire's baseball experience includes Rocky high school ball (class of 2011). His favorite part of VLB is making new friends and having fun playing baseball in a relaxed environment. His favorite experiences are playing under the lights during the league's annual All-Star Showcase with family and friends in attendance. Coach Overmire enjoys being a captain because he likes to compete and strategize, using his knowledge of the game to his advantage. Outside of Veto League, Coach Overmire enjoys golfing, grilling, drinking sodas and spending time with family and friends. |

KYLE KENT#14
Debut: 2019 Team: Katanas (2022 - 2026) Managerial Record: 50-47 (.515) Managerial Seasons: 5 About Kyle: Coach Kent's VLB debut was in 2019. Kent still was "rookie eligible" for the massive 2020 year, where he set league single season rookie records for games (65), hits (153), runs (103) and doubles (31). Kent was also voted among his peers as Rookie of the Year for that season. Baseball has been a big part of Coach Kent's life and Veto League allows him to continue to take part in one of his favorite past times, especially playing in the annual night game. After being in the league a few years, and being picked by many captains, he wanted to try and become one. Having captain wins and losses tracked, along with trying to cement his team with so many other Veto World Series winners adds on to what makes Veto so special to Coach Kent. |
BAILEY RERICHA #96 Debut: 2023 Team: Daddy Hacks (2024, 2026)
Managerial Record: 8-13 (.381) Managerial Seasons: 2 About Bailey: Coach Rericha's VLB debut was in 2023, after playing some travel ball and high school (Davenport Central Class of 2015). His favorite part of VLB is the brotherhood formed through playing the gave we never could let go and making new friends. Also staying in shape is a perk! Rericha likes to challenge himself and others. Rericha enjoys being a captain because it fuels his competitive fire and he enjoys piecing a team in place who work well together. Outside of VLB, Rericha loves being a dad, grilling, making music, working hard and spending time with family. Oh, and of course watching baseball. |
