ALEX MILLER #63
Team: Cannons (2017 - 2022)
Managerial Record: 37-47 (.440)
About Alex: Born in Salem, OR, Coach Miller's first actual baseball experience was Veto League. His favorite part of the league is that it's been around for 23 years and doesn't charge a dime to play. His favorite moment is captaining the Cannons in the 2017 All-Star Classic, a beatdown of the Spartans 25-9. Coach Miller wanted to be a captain because ever since sub-captaining to a World Series champtionship in 2016, he's always had a desire to win more. Outside of baseball, Coach Miller enjoys spending time with his son, Lukas, trying new restaurants and woodworking.
MASON OVERMIRE #69
Team: Heavy Hitters (2019 - 2022)
Managerial Record: 44-23 (.657)
About Mason: From Rock Island, Coach Overmire's baseball experience includes Rocky High School ball (class of 2011). His favorite part of VLB is making new friends and having fun playing baseball in a relaxed environment. His favorite experiences are playing under the lights during the league's annual All-Star Showcase with family and friends cheering on in attendance. Coach Overmire enjoys being a captain because he likes to compete and strategize, using his knowledge of the game to his advantage. Outside of Veto League, Coach Overmire enjoys golfing, grilling, drinking sodas and spending time with family and friends.
JOSH PAUL #65
Team: Goonies (2005, 2008 - 2022)
Managerial Record: 179-123 (.593)
About Josh: Coach Paul's path to the Majors was sidelined by injury when he was 11. He was recruited to VLB by Commissioner Veto in 2003. There are so many things to love about the league, but what he takes away the most are the dozens of friendships he's developed over the years. He also enjoys seeing players improve and watching the all-time roster grow each season. There have been so many moments over his 18-year career that he can't highlight just one - but the All-Star Classic is always a lasting memory. He enjoys the strategy of being a captain and cheering on his team when they conquer an insurmountable comeback. "Goonies Never Say Die". Outside of baseball, Coach Paul enjoys racquetball, geocaching, policing, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Team: Katanas (2022)
Managerial Record: N/A (debut)
About Kyle: Coach Kent's VLB debut was in 2019. Kent still was "rookie eligible" for the massive 2020 year, where he set league single season rookie records for games (65), hits (153), runs (103) and doubles (31). Kent was also voted among his peers as Rookie of the Year for that season. Baseball has been a big part of Coach Kent's life and Veto League allows him to continue to take part in one of his favorite past times, especially playing in the annual night game. After being in the league a few years, and being picked by many captains, he wanted to try and become one. Having captain wins and losses tracked, along with trying to cement his team with so many other Veto World Series winners adds on to what makes Veto so special to Coach Kent.
