Yet Another VLB Milestone to Take Place With Approaching Night Game
The man in the cutoff baseball pants dreamt the VLB would someday play after the sun goes down. That dream will become a reality, when for the first time in VLB history, players will clash in a night game.
Sunday, July 11, 2004 at 7 p.m., the lights come on at Richmond Hill Sports Complex in Geneseo. Just like the first VLB game in 1998, Matt Veto's Meteors will face Lance McCafferty's King Cobras. Fans are welcome and expected to be roaring in the stands. Even the media will be invited to the ballpark to cover the event.
VLB has been host to many milestones: from the first home-run, to the first time someone hit for the cycle, to the first time Brett Carlson made an unnecessary "drop to the knees" fielding maneuver.
