
The last day of the Regular Season on August 9th had a great turnout of 18 players but only 13 players showed up for day one of the playoffs.
In game one the home team Narwhals dominated play in a 15-1 victory over The Crushers. After one inning of play, the score was tied at 1 but in inning number 2, The Narwhals but up a 7 spot and never looked back.
Ryan Barton led the way going 6-7 with a homerun, a double and 7 RBI's. Kevin Powell was 5-7 with a double, a homerun and 4 RBI. Veto League Photographer Mallory McLain also participated in the game going 4-6 with 2 RBI.
Steve Campbell had the lone RBI for the Crushers scoring Matt Youngswirth. Campbell finished the game going 2-5. Josh Paul went 2-6 with a double. He was the only player on the team with an extra base hit.
The Narwhals out-hit The Crushers 28-13.
In game two the tables turned with The Crushers crushing the Narwhals 12-2. The home team Crushers put up a 6 spot in the first inning an continued to pour it on from there.
Omar Ortega was 4-6 with 3 RBI for The Crushers. Jim Wesson was 2-5 with a trio of RBI as well. Matt Youngswirth was also 4-6 with a pair of RBI.
Josh Paul and Ryan Barton were the only pair for the Narwhals to drive in a run.
