All but two players on the 8 player roster for the Narwhals had at least 2 RBI but no player had less than one. Jared Hurlbut led the way with 5 RBI while going 4-6 with a triple and scoring 4 times. Scott Ellefritz was 4-5 with 4 RBI.
Joe Garrison and Howard Zimmerle has the lone RBI's for the Goonies… the 8th and 9th hitters respectively. The Goonies has a whole hit 7/28 in the game with only 4 players of 8 total registering a hit.
The game ended after 5 innings with it being more than a 15 run lead at that time.
In game two it was the Narwhals again this time as the road team taking on the Crushers. And it was another Narwhals victory led again by Jared Hurlbut who had 2 homeruns and 10 RBI (not a typo) along with a triple and two doubles. He was a single shy of the cycle. He was two singles and a triple away from TWO cycles (also not a typo).
Hurlbut's 10 RBI matched the run total of the Crushers who were led Rich Hoxie who was 4-6 with an inside the park homerun, and 3 RBI.
The Narwhals won 15-10 and went 2-0 on the day, improving their overall record to 4-3.
Saturday's games were played at Ridgewood Field and Sunday's games will be played for the first time at The Milan Little League Complex. Douglas Park, the usual home of Veto League will be occupied until at least mid-June.
