Opening Weekend was scheduled to be Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, but ended up being just Sunday only, as rains washed away the other two days.
Through 10 games, the league has already hosted 42 players including 14 debuts. Historically, the league's next debut will be their historic 750th player to participate in the league. Players have also battled some fierce 45-degree windy games just to get some baseball action in.
Ridgewood Field has been the primary location for baseball again for Veto League, with Dickson being the only other field used (1.5 games). While offensive runs scored are up, power hasn't been on point yet in the early going, as just one home run (inside-the-park; LaVanti Wright) has been hit. Last year, Mason Overmire hit the second most homeruns in any Veto League season with 20 bombs. This year the lowest total for runs has been 11.
Weekday games have obtained plenty of players. Keep en eye on the 'schedule' tab for days and locations for play.
