THe 2014 Veto League World Series is under way between the Goonies and Crushers. The first two games took place on Saturday and both games went to extra innings. Unfortunately for the Crushers, they were on the losing end of both.
This is the latest the Veto League season has ever gone. The annual night game (taking place this year on Sept. 22) normally commences during the last week of August at Modern Woodmen Park. However, the River Bandits, now an affiliate of the Houston Astros and with a new GM wanted Veto League to wait until the end of the season (including the post-season) to use the field.
